Dog Friendly Tours in Margaret River

by | Feb 16, 2023 | Wine Tours

Many of us now enjoy taking our four-legged friends away on holiday. Leaving them at home while you travel can be daunting for both the dogs and the owners.

Although there are plenty of pet-friendly accommodation providers within the Margaret River region, you may not be willing or allowed to leave them alone at your holiday home for any period of time. In fact, if you’re staying in Busselton, Dunsborough or Yallingup, it is now against the law to leave your dog unattended at home

But this shouldn’t stop you from having a good time. There are now several dog friendly wineries and breweries within the region, and you can even book dog friendly tours in Margaret River. Why not enjoy some world-class wine, beer and food in comfort with your fur baby?

So I hear you ask, how do dog friendly tours in Margaret River work? Well, it’s pretty simple, just find a tour operator who’s happy to take your dog along for the ride, then select some dog friendly venues. The best dog friendly tours will even look after your dog if you want to visit one or two locations that don’t allow dogs.

Here are some of our favourite dog friendly wineries and breweries in Margaret River –

Marri Wood Park

Located in Yallingup, Marri Wood Park is a boutique family-owned and operated vineyard. Set of 16 acres and 10,000 vines, this unique setting makes you feel at one with nature. The combination of no chemicals, pesticides, fertiliser and even no irrigation, has labelled Marri Wood as a Demeter-certified biodynamic vineyard. If you’re a lover of white wines, make sure you try the Chenin Blanc

Dogs are welcome both inside and outside the venue, and if you visit Marri Wood with Star Class Tours you’ll even be treated to a cheese and biscuits platter for no charge!

Dogs are also welcome inside at After Hours Wines, nnd you may even be greeted by Albert when you arrive, the owner’s affectionate border collie.
